Alice & David

There was a realness to it all. It felt like a gathering in the truest sense, a celebration of love not just between two people but within an entire community…

Alice and David’s wedding at Palácio do Correio-Mor felt like stepping into another world. The historic palace was reimagined by Joana Aranha Studio into something raw and enchanting, filled with wild, natural textures that gave the entire day a sense of quiet wonder. It felt alive, like the walls themselves were holding the day with reverence.

Alice wore a breathtaking Elie Saab gown, an intricately jeweled and beaded piece that caught the light with every movement, leaving a lasting impression. David could hardly take his eyes off of her. During the ceremony, he kept smiling and quietly telling anyone near him how distracted he was by her. That tenderness set the tone for the entire day.

What made this wedding truly memorable was not just the setting or design. It was the way people held each other. The gentle touch of a hand, the expressive gestures, the way bodies moved in conversation and laughter. There was something incredibly open and vulnerable about the way family and friends connected, as if they were all fully present in that moment, celebrating not just Alice and David, but each other. There was a realness to it all. It felt like a gathering in the truest sense, a celebration of love not just between two people but within an entire community.

Photographing the day, I found myself drawn most to those in-between moments. The palace offered beautiful architecture and incredible light, but the heart of the day lived in the people. That’s what stayed with me.
