Jay and Beverly used their wedding as an excuse to celebrate/adventure with their family and friends for a full week. It began with their intimate ceremony at the Burgh House in London. I can still remember Jay and Bev trying to gather themselves as they shared their personal vows. At the end of the vows, I was crying like I had just seen The Notebook for the first time. Yeah… it was like that.

When the ceremony ended it was pouring rain, but these two were up for anything so we headed into the mysterious forest for portraits. In the evening, it was an all out feast at The Orange. It was important to Jay and Bev to have a calm/relaxing evening where their family and friends could eat some tasty food and share some stories, memories, and laughter together.

The next morning I took a train to The Cotswolds where Jay was there to pick me up along with a group of their friends. As we started driving through the countryside I was blown away by the beauty there. When we arrived at Temple Guiting, I didn’t know what to do with myself. Let’s just say I was in photo heaven.

The days that followed…we played. There was foraging, tennis, yoga, BBQs, clay shooting, bicycling, hot tubbing under the stars, and good conversation. I can’t say I’ve ever experienced a wedding quite like this.

I love that people are doing weddings in a way that highlights what’s most important to them. It’s time to throw out the templates, the shot lists, the feeling that you have to do something even if it holds no value to you. I feel it’s incredibly important to include things that are significant and meaningful to you as a couple. This year I’ve seen just how unique and refreshing weddings can be when done in a way that centers around what’s most important to a couple.

Thank you Bev and Jay for trusting me and inviting me into your inner circle. I love you guys.

A huge thank you to the awesome Emilie White for shooting this day with me.
