I don’t normally do this, but there’s somethin I don’t normally do this, but there’s something I’ve been wanting to share. I think there’s often a misunderstanding about the intention behind being a wedding photographer and what truly motivates many of us to do this work. This may not resonate with everyone, but I know a lot of people in my industry will understand exactly what I mean…
When Alice first reached out, she told me that she When Alice first reached out, she told me that she didn’t want to influence what I photographed or how I approached the day. Her only request was that I be myself. That level of trust was incredibly inspiring. It gave me the space to slow down, observe differently, and follow my instincts without expectation or limitation. Those are the environments where I feel most connected to my work, where I can focus on the quiet, candid moments and create imagery that feels honest, artful, and deeply personal. I also had the best time working alongside my dear friend @kellybrownweddings. T&R spent their entire wedding day in complete dis T&R spent their entire wedding day in complete disbelief that they were finally sharing vows and committing a lifetime to each other. You could see it in the way they held and looked at each other. You could hear it in the words they exchanged. This day was about two fully present people, trying to take in a moment that felt almost too beautiful to be real. Some moments are joyful. Some are emotional. And then there are moments like these… where love feels so honest and vulnerable it leaves everyone who witnesses it in a sense of wonder.
